Checkin' in... Still kickin'!

Hello everyone out there in sober-blogger land. I wanted to check in and wish everyone a happy, safe, joyous, sober and free new year. I hope the holidays were good to you all and you came through safe and sober. I do not post or read regularly but hope to get more consistent with it in this new year. I have been attending meetings regularly, sometimes seven or more a week, working a lot and spending time with my kids.

I spent my second sober new years eve with about 100 other AA's at a local meeting hall. The night started with a nice banquet, followed by a meeting and then a dance. The city in which the event was held has a spectacular fireworks display at the stroke of midnight. What an experience! Last year I worked all night which was fine, this year I enjoyed it with many of my sober friends. I danced and sang and had a blast! Afterwards about a dozen of us went to a diner that we frequent and had some more food and fellowship.

I have seen a few people relapse over the holidays and seen a few come back in since the holidays who had been out for months. I pray for them all and wish them the best. I am there whenever possible to help whomever I can whenever I can. I am responsible when anyone, anywhere reaches out for help.

There will surely be more posts in the near future but for now I must signoff... I appreciate each and every person out there who is sober and trying to live right and thank you all for being there for me and for each other.

Have a great 24... and so much more!

PEACE

...and same to you, blogger friend.

Responsibility? Hmmmmmm! Looking back, I wonder when that did happen? Guess it was not a happening either, as much as a growing.
Thanks for staying here even if you do not blog a daily entry.

WOW Steveroni! I wish I had the focus to be able to blog something everyday. I still run on the idea that there is no way there are only 24 hours in the day, LOL I usually manage to have two, if not three days worth of stuff schedule on most so called 'free days'. I am going to try to get more regular with it but, no promises! LOL
